Hi, I’m Luke.

Welcome to CanadianPathAssistant — a site for anyone curious about what it’s like to work as a Pathologists’ Assistant (PA) in Canada.

Who Am I?

My name is Luke and I’m a certified pathologists’ assistant with several years of experience working in surgical pathology labs. I also run the CanadianPathAssistant YouTube channel, where I talk about what it’s like to work in this field as well as provide educational content.

I created this website because I remember what it was like trying to find information about this career. Most of the info out there about being a pathologists’s assistant is generic or is from a site that doesn’t really know what a PA does. I want to share what this job is actually like in — the good, the bad, and the weird.

I’ve been working in this role since 2018 and I want to give honest, helpful, and practical advice that reflects the real-world experience of being a pathologists’ assistant.

What You’ll Find Here

You can expect two main types of content:

  • Career Info & Insight

Who This Is For

  • Curious about becoming a PA? You’re in the right place.
  • Currently in school and looking for some extra review or learning material? I’ve got you.
  • Already working and want to brush up before writing a certification exam? I’ll be posting for you too.
